Solarization of School

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KP-HCIP) recognizes the importance of reliable and sustainable energy sources for the provision of quality education in the province. In line with this, the project has prioritized the solarization of schools in its interventions. Solar energy systems are being installed in schools to reduce reliance on conventional sources of electricity, minimize carbon emissions, and provide uninterrupted power supply for the smooth functioning of educational activities. This intervention aligns with the project's objectives of improving access to quality education and enhancing the learning environment for students. The solarization of schools is being integrated into various project activities, including the construction of Additional Classrooms (ACRs), the upgradation of schools, and the establishment of Girls Community Schools. The use of renewable energy is not only cost-effective in the long run but also has a positive impact on the environment. The implementation of solar energy systems in schools is a step towards achieving a sustainable future while ensuring that children receive quality education in a conducive learning environment.
